On

Mashakos Convention In the Sudan

 

The committee on Arab and Foreign Affairs and National security;     

 -As it backs the determined efforts exerted by President Mohamed Hosny Mubarak to achieve stability and security in the Arab region as well as his contacts with all the concerned parties to support the Arab National Issues.  

 -And as it backs the steps taken by President Mubarak to consolidate stability and peace in the brotherly Sudan and to keep it away from any probabilities that can influence its supreme interests as an expression of the feelings of all Egyptians and his interest in what is taking place in the Sudan out of a firm principle that is extremely circumspect on the Sudanese territorial unity.

 -And as it hails the firm Egyptian stance and its commitment to the primary attitudes towards the axioms  of the Arab issues most important of which the unity and stability of the Arab countries not separating  them on ethnic, religious or national bases that could seriously influence the security and stability of these countries.

  -And as it points out that the Arab countries headed by Egypt have adopted the call to solve problems through mutual understanding and consultations in order to ensure stability in this region.

The Committee; thus, reaffirms the following:

 -The two brotherly peoples of Egypt and the Sudan are united in firm historical bonds for the sake of the common good of the two brotherly peoples.

- Egypt, throughout history, has always been adopting firm and original attitude seriously committed to the territorial  unity of the Sudanese people and rejecting any damage to the security and unity of the Sudan which represents the major determinant of Egypt's view of the convention concluded in Mashakos.
